Hey there and welcome to my little corner of the internet!

I’m Leigha Smith (Mrs. Smith), and I teach 4th grade. After spending 11 years in early childhood education, I made the jump to upper elementary—and let me tell you, it’s been the best decision! Fourth graders are the perfect mix of independent and silly, curious and capable. Every day brings something new, and I love being part of their growth.

I’ve always had a heart for teaching. There’s just something about watching those lightbulb moments and helping kids believe in themselves that never gets old. My classroom is a space where we work hard, lift each other up, and have a lot of fun along the way.

I’m also an aspiring school administrator—I believe in strong leadership that supports teachers, builds school culture, and puts students first. I’m passionate about creating positive change beyond my own classroom and look forward to the next chapter in my journey in education.

Outside of school, I’m a proud boy mom and dog mom to three fluffy pups—equal parts lovable and chaotic.

When I’m not lesson planning, you can find me outside: spending time with my family, hanging out with my chickens, crafting, or working on a new project on our property.

This is a space where I hope to share a bit of everything teacher related—engaging lesson plans, cute outfits, realistic ideas, organization tips, and a little bit of real life mixed in.
